Bacchus 2017 has had the participation of wines from 21 countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, Czech Republic, France, Georgia, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Andorra, Czech Republic, Andorra, , Romania, Tunisia, Turkey and Uruguay.
The organization of the World Sauvignon Contest today announced in Prowein, the medals of the last edition of the contest, held in Bordeaux in early March. The wines of D.O. Rueda have won seven gold and four silver medals. With these 11 metals, the appellation of origin matches the figures of last year, when the contest was held in the D.O. Wheel.
In total, 860 samples from 17 countries participated in the eighth edition of this competition, whose objective is to promote wines made with the variety Sauvignon Blanc and to publicize the richness and variety of this strain. Last year, in the edition held in the D.O. Rueda broke the record of participation, with 901 samples to contest.
